On Saturday, April 25, 2026, Vestal High School’s Mock Trial team competed in a regional competition in Norwich. 

The team advanced to the final (third) round after defeating Ithaca High School and ultimately lost by just one point to Fayetteville-Manlius High School, putting them in Second Place.

The final round was held in the Chenango Courthouse and was presided over by the Honorable Elizabeth A. Garry, Presiding Justice of the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division, Third Department. She generously spent time with the team afterward, offering thoughtful feedback and encouragement that left them all feeling both proud and inspired.

In the final two weeks leading up to Regionals, the Mock Trial team was fortunate to receive additional volunteer coaching support from Binghamton University’s Mock Trial coach and team president, Emma Lowman and Ryan Rosenthal, which made a meaningful impact on their preparation. 

The team would like to recognize and thank their dedicated coaches, Mr. Gretzky, Mr. Greene, and their attorney advisor Mr. Jackson for their leadership and commitment throughout the season.
