Course Requirements
Six IB Courses
(3 or 4 at higher level and remainder at standard level.)
Grades 11 & 12.
Complete exams in each course.
Distribution Requirements
Six subject groups: English, Second Language, Individuals &
Societies, Science, Mathematics, Art & Electives
Theory of Knowledge Requirements
Two semesters over junior and senior years
Extended Essay
Complete a 4,000-word extended essay based on
original research.
Creativity, Action, Service
Complete approximately 150 hours of extracurricular activities distributed
across the arts, sports and volunteer services.
Grades 11 & 12.

Course Requirements
Six IB, AP®, Honors courses, Grades 9 - 12.
Students are not required to take exams in these subjects; just need to receive a passing grade.
Students receive one credit for each course completed, regardless of whether the course is 1 or 2 years in length.*
*For example, IB Math HL counts as one course for the Scholar Certificate, although it is two years in length.
Theory of Knowledge Requirements
Not required. However, it may be used as one of the six required courses, as long as both semesters are completed successfully.
