Elementary Students Sending Hope and Support Across the Miles.

Posted Date: 1/23/25 (7:51 PM)

African Rd. Elementary students are bringing hope, support, and friendship to kids in Los Angeles affected by the wildfires. Teacher Liza Turner was inspired to bring this project to the ARE students after seeing a similar project on Facebook. This afternoon, third graders teamed up with kindergartners to make friendship bracelets and cards of encouragement to send to schools in L.A. that were affected by the wildfires. Our Golden Bears know that their personalized messages will bring smiles to the students' faces and that they'll see that they have friends in Vestal, NY!
